Ron Arad
Born in Tel Aviv in 1951 and trained at the Jerusalem Academy of Art and the Architectural Association in London, Ron Arad has always pushed back the boundaries of art and design. Beginning with the co-founding of the One Off design studio in 1981, Ron Arad has since established an unrivalled legacy in architecture and design. Professor of Design Product at London's prestigious Royal College of Art for more than a decade, Ron Arad has won several awards, including the title of Royal Designer for Industry in 2002 and the London Design Week Medal in 2011. In addition to his limited-edition works, Arad collaborates with prestigious brands such as Kartell, Vitra and Alessi. His public art is also recognised worldwide, with major pieces such as the Vortex in Seoul and the Kesher sculpture at Tel Aviv University. Winner of the London Design Week Medal in 2011, he became an Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts in 2013, confirming his status as an exceptional artist, designer and architect.
